The UCAT is fast, unfamiliar and highly time pressured. For many students, it is not about working harder, it is about learning how to approach the exam properly.
At Eximus Education, we help students prepare with 1:1 online UCAT tutoring from £28/hour, focused on improving speed, accuracy, confidence and exam technique.

The UCAT is not a memory test. Students are not expected to revise science content or write long answers. Instead, the test measures how well they can read quickly, make decisions, interpret information and stay calm under time pressure. That is why UCAT preparation is less about “more studying” and more about building the right exam habits:
Reading with purpose
Spotting patterns quickly
Knowing when to move on
Using time wisely
Reviewing mistakes properly
Practising under timed conditions
A student can know the question style and still struggle if they do not have a clear strategy. This is where guided tutoring can make preparation feel much more manageable.
UCAT testing for 2026 starts on 13 July 2026, with booking opening on 23 June 2026. The final test day is 24 September 2026, according to the official UCAT Consortium.

Now is a sensible time to start because it gives students room to understand the test, work on weaker areas and build exam pace before their chosen test date.
Our tutors do not just run through practice questions. They help students understand where they are losing marks and how to approach each section more effectively.
Verbal Reasoning
This section tests how well students can understand and evaluate written information under time pressure.
Tutoring may focus on reading faster, identifying key details, handling long passages and avoiding common traps in true, false and cannot tell questions.
Decision Making
This section looks at how students use logic, data and reasoning to make sound decisions.
Tutoring may cover syllogisms, Venn diagrams, probability-style questions, argument evaluation and step-by-step reasoning.
Quantitative Reasoning
This section tests numerical problem solving using data, graphs, tables and calculations.
Tutoring may focus on calculator technique, mental maths shortcuts, percentages, ratios, averages and choosing the fastest method for each question.
Situational Judgement
This section assesses how students respond to realistic professional and ethical scenarios.
Tutoring may help students understand appropriate behaviour, patient-centred judgement, ranking questions and how to avoid extreme answers.
